城垌村是广东省茂名市信宜市大成镇所辖的行政村，位于与高州市相邻的山区[1]。名称由来：相传古时当地有一座城池，因而名为城垌[2]。

历史沿革[edit]

据村情记载，民国时期属白石上乡第三堡，随后1960年设城垌生产大队，随后1983年改设城垌乡政府，随后1987年成为城垌村民委员会，随后至1992年改称城垌管理区办事处，随后直到1999年才称城垌村民委员会[1]。

人口与经济[edit]

据博雅地名网所载村情，村内设52个村民小组，在册908户、4749人，总面积13.5平方千米，耕地1760亩；种植的作物主要是南蕉、大肉姜和益智[1]。该村以种大肉姜为主，兼种八角、油茶；记载称有41个自然村通硬底化道路，林地约15892亩，外出务工者1300多人。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2023年5月，获广东省爱卫会授予「2022年广东省卫生村」称号；2019年9月，列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位名单」。[1]
