年均气温19.2℃，年降水量约1689毫米，属南亚热带季风型气候[1]。

地名由来[edit]

那里有一条山坑，村民前来耕种，年年有收成，便取名“旺坑”[2]。

历史沿革[edit]

旺坑村的建制变化依次是：1960年为大队，1983年改作乡，1986年前后组建村民委员会，1989年设管理区办事处，1999年定为现名[1]。

荣誉[edit]

  • 2019年12月，名列「第一批国家森林乡村」[1]
  • 2021年9月，名列「第二批广东省一村一品、一镇一业专业村」（荔枝）[1]
