地名由来[edit]
太平天国时期，清军驻扎在营地岗，在这里架炉打铁、修造枪支，村名由此而来[2]。
历史沿革[edit]
铁炉村的建制变化依次是：1960年为大队，1983年改作乡，1986年前后组建村民委员会，1989年设管理区办事处，1999年定为现名，1960年由两处合并而成[1]。
