历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网所载，名称依次为：平太大队（1962年）、平太乡（1983年）、平太村民委员会（1987年）、平太管理区办事处（1989年），1999年起复称村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

村民委员会自述（未注年份）：在册1056户、5783人，村域面积5平方千米，耕地2261亩；种植的经济作物以水稻、蚕桑、香蕉、养猪为主，上一年农村经济总收入1278万元。村里着力发展水稻、蚕桑和种养业。[1]

2019年10月，该村入选2019年广东省卫生村名录。[1]
