2003年，化州市人民政府依照规范要求，把原来的丽岗居委会更名为丽岗社区居民委员会。[1]

地理环境[edit]

据博雅地名网，社区年平均气温23.1℃，年降雨量约1623毫米，属南亚热带季风气候；与镇内其余11个行政村全部相邻。[1]

经济[edit]

社区的特色收入来自商业，种植的作物有水稻、花生、番薯和玉米。圩镇店铺集中，工业方面有5家针织皮具厂、3家手套厂和2家木业厂，合计提供700多个岗位，就业者约占社区总人口的三分之一。[1]
