该页的沿革记述，由近及远是：1999年起沿称边岭村民委员会；1989年称边岭管理区办事处；1987年设边岭村民委员会；1983年改为边岭乡；1962年归新成立的笪桥公社；1958年属水塘公社，称边岭大队；1952年土改时属数安区；民国时属耕安乡。[1]
