旺沙村位于广东省茂名市高州市长坡镇，属镇下辖的村民委员会[1]。村中沙地面积大，村民盼其兴旺，故名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据地名志类资料，自1961年起，由林邓分立设大队。1983年起称乡，1986年称农村管理区，1999年后为村民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

  • 2021年12月，广东省爱卫会授予「2021年广东省卫生村」称号[1]
  • 2020年8月，列入广东省首批“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村名单（怀乡鸡）[1]
