该村处于一大片水田之中，称大水田；1961年以它为中心设大水田大队[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

此后1983年成乡，1986年成大水田农村管理区，1999年起称大水田村民委员会[1]。

荣誉[edit]

2021年12月，大水田村获2021年广东省卫生村称号；2019年9月，列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单[1]。
