历史沿革[edit]
牛湖社区在2010年12月分设牛湖和大水田两个工作站，大水田由此独立。[2] 社区采用一站一居一股份公司的模式，即大水田工作站、大水田居委会和大水田股份合作公司。[1] 股份合作公司有股民241人，收入主要来自土地和厂房出租，截至2016年10月31日总资产约0.62亿元，当年总收入539.63万元。[1]
人口民族[edit]
资料记社区共有人口23294人，户籍的只有294人；社区有94栋原居民的私人住宅，自住或出租。[1]
文化[edit]
观澜版画村的前身是大水田村，包括牛湖新围场（又称龙门围）和大树田村两个自然村，村内有客家排屋、碉楼、宗祠、水塘和古井。[3] 近年社区推出「大水田·版迹公社」品牌，2026年2月成立由30名志愿者导师组成的版画印记志愿服务队，社区有三个版画名家传习坊。[4] 2025年11月通车的观澜三号路，使去版画基地和版画博物馆的路程缩短。[5]
