地名由来[edit]

据博雅地名网所记，过去周围遍地树林，村前田垌里有一块近20亩的大田，故名木广垌。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

木广垌生产大队成立于1968年。1979年1月改设大队管理委员会，1983年9月建乡，1987年3月称管理区，1999年撤销管理区、设村民委员会。（博雅地名网原文对1983年至1987年的先后顺序前后不一，这里照录其年份。）[1]

荣誉与产业[edit]

2019年12月，木广垌村列入国家林业和草原局公布的第二批国家森林乡村名单；2021年9月，以荔枝入选第二批「广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」；2021年12月获「2021年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
