据博雅地名网所载沿革，该村1961年起称福石大队，1983年设福石乡，1986年又称福石农村管理区，至1999年组建村民委员会，名称延用到现在。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年12月获广东省爱卫会授予“2021年广东省卫生村”称号；被列为广东省2018年度民主法治示范村（社区）的创建对象（2019年9月公布）。[1]
