据博雅地名网所载沿革，该村1961年起称江口大队，1983年设江口乡，1986年又称江口农村管理区，至1999年组建村民委员会，名称延用到现在。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2022年8月，成为当年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）的创建对象；同年1月，广东省乡村振兴局将其列入2021年度乡村治理示范村创建对象；2019年10月进入广东省卫生村名录；被列为广东省2018年度民主法治示范村（社区）的创建对象（2019年9月公布）。[1]
