中间堂村属广东省茂名市高州市根子镇，是镇下设的行政村。清代有举人苏锦玲倡议把几个小村连成一体，称作中间堂。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1961年公社化时有简坡、官田、下村三个大队，1964年三队合并，成立中间堂大队。其后的名称是：1983年称中间堂乡，1986年称中间堂农村管理区，至1999年定为中间堂村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]

荣誉[edit]

  • 2021年9月，成为第二批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村（沉香）。[1]
  • 2021年12月，被授予「2021年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
