立石村属广东省茂名市高州市根子镇，是镇下设的行政村。从前村前立着一块大石，故称立石。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
立石在1958年人民公社化时，分为塘口、东坑、立石三个大队，1963年三队合一，称立石大队。其后的名称是：1983年称立石乡，1986年称立石农村管理区，至1999年定为立石村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
荣誉[edit]
- 2021年12月，被授予「2021年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
