平垌村隶属广东省茂名市高州市的云潭镇，为行政村，因村中的田垌宽阔平坦而得名；由山平、铺垌、官垌三个大队合并而成。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

最早是山平、铺垌、官垌三个大队，1963年并成一个，队名各取一字：“平”来自山平，“垌”来自铺垌与官垌。此后1983年称平垌乡，1986年改为农村管理区，1999年起为平垌村民委员会。[1]
