南清村是电白区黄岭镇西部的行政村，坐落在海拔八百多米的半山腰。[2]全村5个村民小组，在册185户、855人，总面积3.61平方公里，耕地325亩。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

南清生产大队设于1958年；此后改乡（1983年）、设村委会（1987年）、改管理区（1989年），1999年又回到村委会的名称，一直用到现在。[1]

经济[edit]

村里的主要作物是水稻、南蕉和花生，南蕉是特色产业：据博雅地名网转述的村介绍，种了3000亩，一年收3912吨，产值400多万元，2009年12月作为电白地方特产去过茂名市首届农产品展览会；此外还养殖耕牛、山地鸡鸭。[2]2020年8月，南清村（香蕉）列入广东省农业农村厅首批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单。[1]

村镇荣誉[edit]

国家林业和草原局2019年12月公布的第二批国家森林乡村名单里有南清村；2023年4月，它又在2022年度省乡村治理示范村的创建单位之列。[1]
