1953年这里建乡，1958年改编为生产大队，1983年复称乡，1987年称村委会，1989年称管理区，1999年又改回村委会，名称一直用到现在[1]。

经济[edit]

据该页介绍，村内年均气温约22摄氏度，年降水量2200毫米上下；种植的作物主要是荔枝、龙眼、花生、水稻、红薯等[1]。突出的收入项目为荔枝、龙眼和香芋，上一年全村农村经济总收入记为2140万元[1]。村民除荔枝、龙眼外还种北运菜，尤以香芋为重；村集体把山岭发包给人种果树，收取承包金[1]。
