历史沿革[edit]

1989年设新城开发区，2008年改称新城居委会，沿用至今[1]。

经济[edit]

据博雅地名网，区内有一处1万平方米的综合性市场和富强网厂、紫荆羽绒等民营企业，是粤西渔网、安全网、虾笼的生产基地之一，另有粤西规模最大的木材集散市场；社区人口1190人[1]。2019年9月，社区名列「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单[1]。
