历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立初至1957年起归刘宅乡，1958年起有刘宅管理区，1961年起为刘宅大队；1980年起一分为甲步、刘宅两个大队，两年后又并为刘宅大队；1984年起为刘宅乡，1987年2月起为村委会，1989年起叫管理区，1999年定名为刘宅村民委员会。[1]

2019年9月，刘宅村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
