地名与沿革[edit]
村四面山岭环绕，形如水潭，村民以「潭村」为名；村委会驻潭村。[1]1950年为第七区潭村行政村，1953年为潭村乡，1958年设潭村大队，1983年改乡，1987年改管理区，1999年改为潭村村委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，潭村村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
