村名的来历：据村名由来的说法，船埠一带开基的历史久远、颇有名气，村民便以“船埠”为村名。[1]
建制沿革：土地改革后设船埠乡人民政府；1958年为船埠大队；1983年又称乡；1987年设管理区，1999年起为村委会。[1]
