吉水村是广东省湛江市廉江市吉水镇下辖的行政村，区划代码440881103201。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历：九洲江流经圩旁，水势湍急，圩因此叫“急水圩”；清光绪年间（1875年—1908年）嫌“急”字不吉，改称“吉水”，村名随之而来，村委会设在吉水圩西南。[1]

建制沿革：土改后设乡人民政府，1958年后称吉水大队、属吉水公社，1984年又称吉水乡人民政府，1987年改设村民委员会，1989年称管理区，1999年起称吉水村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位（2019年9月公布）；湛江市2020年度全市文明村（2021年1月）。[1]
