三甲村是廉江市新民镇的行政村，辖村仔、老圩、三甲、上七甲、下七甲等10条自然村；村民约3414人，耕地2952亩，主要种甘蔗和稻谷。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

传说从前有三兄弟在此同住，互相合作，村名最初叫“三合村”，当地方言里“合”与“甲”同音，渐渐写成三甲。[1]1950年至1958年，三角山与三甲两村合设一乡，乡政府在三角山村；1958年3月成立三甲大队，1983年改乡，1987年为管理区，1999年成为村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单。[1]
