新东社区是广东省湛江市廉江市罗州街道辖下的社区，2015年11月16日成立，是街道里较新的一个社区，属主城区[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

新东社区成立于2015年11月16日，此后沿用至今，隶属罗州街道[1]。名称寓意是为城东营造新的环境、让居民生活幸福和谐[2]。博雅地名网列出的相邻单位有绿洲水泥厂社区、廉江林场以及街道内的东街、南街、西街、新南、新中、新北、东圣、建设、黄村各社区[1]。

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，新东社区入选「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单[1]。
