历史沿革[edit]
白茅乡始设于1950年，次年成为下洋镇的白茅大队，1967年划给外罗镇；1986年成为村委会，1987年成为管理区，1998年起成为村民委员会；2003年外罗镇撤销，辖地交给锦和镇。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2026年1月，白茅村获评第二批「广东省百千万工程典型村」。[1]
2023年5月，白茅村辖下的文宅村、汪宅村、下海北村、下海南村被广东省爱卫会评为「2022年广东省卫生村」。[1]
在2019年9月公布的名单中，它是「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」的创建单位。[1]
