历史沿革[edit]

民国至1952年，沟西村与下洋村合组一个小乡；1953至1968年，沟西、后湾、洋尾3个小乡合设为大队；1974至1983年沟西、下洋两村共设管理区；1986年分出，建沟西村委会，1988年成为管理区，1999年设沟西村民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年1月，沟西村在湛江市2020年度评选中入选「全市文明村」。[1]

2023年5月，沟西村辖下的下洋村、沟西村被广东省爱卫会评为「2022年广东省卫生村」。[1]

在2019年9月公布的名单中，它是「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」的创建单位。[1]
