南新村是湛江市遂溪县黄略镇的行政村，博雅地名网把它归为城乡结合区；遂溪人民抗法纪念碑就在村内的黄略中心小学里[1][2]。

历史沿革[edit]

南新1950年是一个乡，1953年、1955年先后办起初级社、高级社，1958年乡并入公社，成为南新大队；1983年重设南新乡，1986年建村民委员会，1989年改称管理区，1999年改称村民委员会，此后一直沿用[1]。

据百度百科，南新是黄略村下辖的6个行政村之一[3]。2019年9月，南新村被列为2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位；2021年1月入选「湛江市2020年度全市文明村」[1]。

名胜古迹[edit]

遂溪人民抗法纪念碑为1898至1899年抗法斗争中的阵亡者而建，1959年建成，碑高约12米，1979年12月公布为广东省文物保护单位[2]。
