津前社区是硇洲镇下辖的社区，所在地有硇洲岛上的津前天后宫，1949年至1950年解放军渡海先锋营曾驻扎于此[2][3]。社区名来自《吴川县志》所载的津前村[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

津前先后叫过津前乡（1952年）、津前大队（1956年）、津前乡（1983年）；1987年成立津前居委会，1990年一度称管理区，1998年恢复为津前社区居民委员会，沿用至今[2]。

津前天后宫[edit]

津前天后宫又称天后圣母宫、婆母庙，位于镇政府大楼以北百米左右，始建于明正德元年（1506年），清咸丰六年（1856年）重建，面朝雷州湾，庙内有大钟和大鼓[3]。维基百科称此处是解放海南岛战役的硇洲指挥部旧址；博雅地名网则把它列为渡海先锋营驻地旧址，记载驻军为第四十三军一二八师，时间在1949年12月到1950年3月之间[2][4]。渡海先锋营陈列馆2019年9月29日开馆，展陈这段军民共同备战渡海的历史[5]。
