民有村是坡头镇下辖的行政村。据博雅地名网，1951年建乡时，取“人民群众”的“民”字，与辖区内最大的自然村久有村的“有”字相合，定名民有乡，村名由此而来。[1][1]

历史沿革[edit]

民有乡成立于1951年，1957年成为高级社，属吴川县第八区，1958年改称民有大队。1983年上垌大队并入，仍设民有乡。其后依次为村委会（1987年）、管理区（1989年）和村民委员会（1999年）。[1]
