建设社区是湛江市霞山区建设街道辖下的社区，辖区主要沿建设路和建设二横路一带，社区由此得名[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

2003年，社区经国家统一编制并获霞山区政府批准设置，由原来的工农西一、工农西二两个居委会合并而成，称建设社区居委会，沿用至今[1]。
