进职村是恩平市圣堂镇的行政村，村委会在325国道东侧，从圣堂圩镇往南约3公里，辖进职、澄溪、水凹、满仓、大北、小北6个自然村[1]。村民以种植水稻和瓜菜为主，进职萝卜在恩平有一定名气[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

村名取自村南的进职岭，含事业有成的寓意[1]。博雅地名网记载，元代（1264至1295年）梁姓先祖海翁从阳江迁来聚居建村[1]；长安村史馆则说海公迁居进职岭在宋朝，两种说法年代不一[2]。建置上，1958年为进职大队，1986年为村委会，1989年为管理区，1998年10月9日由恩平市政府批准定名进职村民委员会[1]。

人口经济[edit]

全村718户，共2324人，耕地2450亩，其中水田1900亩、旱地550亩；满仓、澄溪两个自然村以种萝卜为主[1]。2019年9月，进职村进入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」公布的名单[1]。

文化[edit]

恩平方言以「东成牛皮塘－鹿颈－圣堂进职－良西龙联」一线分南北两片，进职及村内的大北、小北、满仓、澄溪、水凹等自然村讲平石话[3]。
