社区原名鹤城镇居民委员会，2005年改称昆源社区居民委员会，名称取自所在的昆源路[1][2]。

地理环境[edit]

社区地处镇中心，东到东南大道，南到五子园，西到城中路，北至毛织厂旧址一带[1]。
