大埠村在江门市鹤山市古劳镇南部，濒西江，北距镇区3.4千米，因旧称“大埗头”（埠头）得名；冯姓是开村之族，2023年11月进入「广东“百千万工程”首批典型县镇村」名单[1][2]。

历史沿革[edit]

据村志，冯姓先祖原住沙坪玉桥村，传到第五世冯东园，于1315年带着儿子冯志学迁到西江边的“大步头”，村名沿用此称；民国初年写作大埠，每年农历正月初四为开村日。旧时村民出行靠船，村里有好几处埗头，“埗”和“埠”读音相近，便写作大埠[1]。1958年设大埠大队，1983年称大埠乡，1986年称大埠管理区，1998年起为大埠村民委员会[1]。

地理环境[edit]

村子东北隔河对着升平、双桥，西南挨着连北、连南，陆路通沙坪和古劳，水路可行船。村外筑堤防洪涝，围内河网纵横[1]。

经济[edit]

据2008年数据，全村约1400人，可耕面积134公顷，其中水稻田34公顷（市里指定的粮食高产稳产示范区）、旱地20公顷（多种蔬菜）、鱼塘54公顷，另有河涌养殖27公顷[1]。

近年村里开展“光伏+农房风貌提升”试点，并与广州美术学院的学生合作绘制墙画，主题包括“田美鱼肥”“丰景大埠”和“三夹腾龙”[2]。

荣誉[edit]

2022年1月，大埠村被确定为2021年度广东省乡村治理示范村创建单位；2023年11月，入选广东「百千万工程」首批典型县镇村名单；2024年1月，列为2023年度广东省民主法治示范村（社区）；2024年4月，进入广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村创建名单[1]。
