四堡村位于鹤山市龙口镇南部，南与鹤城镇城西村接壤，西邻四堡林场，距龙口圩10公里，现辖12条自然村，267户967人（博雅地名网所载，未注明年份），面积约4.5平方千米。[1]村内以客家人为主，约两成农户养蜂。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名「四堡」，一说是德安堡、德良堡、迳心堡和狗头岗堡四村的合称；另一说按地段分：上新、上下藕塘、昆中一堡，横水、石寮一堡，焦坑到狗头岗一堡，矮岭到竹仔排一堡。[1]据博雅地名网所载，解放初期人口曾达四千人，设有四堡圩；1958年修建四堡水库，居民被大量迁出。[1]清代属古劳都，1958年称四堡大队，1983年称四堡乡，1986年称四堡管理区，1998年起称四堡村民委员会。[1]

经济[edit]

村里盛产蜂蜜。2024年，四堡美丽家园移民示范村项目完工，建成3公里长的乡野乐活观光带。[1][2]2026年1月，四堡村获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
