粉洞村位于鹤山市龙口镇西南部，始建于明洪武二十七年（1395年），北邻福迳、南接五福，西与高明区杨梅镇、东与湴蓼相邻，距江肇公路3公里，有新村、旧村、村仔、马头、七星地5个村小组，常住人口781人（博雅地名网所载，未注明年份）。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网所载，村处群山环抱的盆地，先人进村如入洞中，当地称「返洞」，「返」与「粉」土语发音相近，久而改作粉洞；另一说，村民秋后家家做椿粉、晒粉备年糕，故称粉洞。[1]古时又名潘溪。[1]清代属古劳都，1958年称粉洞大队，1983年称粉洞乡，1986年称粉洞管理区，1998年起称粉洞村民委员会。[1]

村域农田共1085亩，其中香蕉215亩、鱼塘315亩、禾田515亩。[1]
