辖区面积23.5平方千米，其中耕地6650亩（水田4000多亩）、林地8000多亩、鱼塘1000多亩。人口2730人，地处丘陵，人均耕地多而条件较差，传统作物为水稻、冬瓜、花生、木薯和蔬菜，集体收入靠厂房、铺位和土地出租。[1]

近年新增的项目有：香水柠檬350亩，沃柑150亩，皇帝柑100亩，香蕉300亩。[1]
