村有耕地约818亩，党员38名，辖14条自然村，如居由、中古、上松、楼前、同安等。农业以水稻为主，养殖为辅，集体经济年收入约13万元。[1]

近年发展[edit]

水边靠近G325国道和市区，镇里在这里建设工业区和别墅小区。[1][2] 水边与龙和两村的污水处理厂已建成。[3] 镇的村庄规划将水边归为城郊融合类。[4]
