梅阁村是广东省江门市新会区沙堆镇南部的行政村，毗邻珠海市斗门区，辖区面积约32平方千米，共25个村民小组；户籍人口为8580人，外来者4000多人[1][2]。据2024年1月的报道，常住人口1.5万余人，旅外侨胞及港澳台同胞有3万多人[3]。

历史沿革[edit]

南宋咸淳九年（1273年），蒋姓先祖从南雄珠玑巷迁来立村[1][2]。村名明清时写作「梅角」，据说此地原是崖山岛伸入海中的一处海角，后来改雅称「梅阁」[1]。明万历县志已记有梅角村，清康熙、乾隆、道光县志的村名皆作「梅角」，而人物传又写作「梅阁」[1]。

民国时期至1957年设第八区梅阁乡，自成一个大乡。人民公社时期先称梅阁管理区，1961年又拆成康宁、东仁龙、东南、东升、五大、新联六个大队，并入沙堆人民公社；1984年起改称梅阁乡，两年后为村委会[1]。

经济[edit]

全村耕地6196亩，其中常用耕地5566亩。农业以种稻为主，村里出产的「旭日灵芝」在珠三角有一定知名度；工业方面，境内有洋关工业区和金门工业区，宝发制衣、鸿达造船厂等企业设在其中，金门工业区的富华铸锻是当地的龙头企业；梅阁新区是商铺集中的地方[1][2][3]。

革命史迹与侨乡文化[edit]

1949年10月30日，解放军第四野战军一部追击国民党保安第二师第六团至梅阁，在马鞍山一带连破三道防线，将其歼灭；次日，新会全境解放。马鞍山脚下立有梅阁革命烈士纪念碑，12名烈士安葬于此[3]。梅阁烈士墓园于2010年12月列入江门市市级文物保护单位（第六批）[1]。

梅阁码头始建于1930年，由村民和海外侨胞集资兴建，是重要的华侨文物，2023年底修葺完工；梅阁学校旧址（乐野祖祠）、《梅阁侨刊》也是村中的侨史遗存，侨刊正在电子化[3]。村内另有炮台山遗址，属商代遗存，1983年发现[4]。

荣誉[edit]

梅阁村在2021年12月获「2021年广东省卫生村」称号，2023年2月被江门市授予「红色美丽侨村」，同年4月又列入广东省乡村治理示范村创建单位（2022年度）[1][3]。
