历史沿革[edit]
明洪武年间（1368—1398年），曾姓先祖从双水迁来立村。清康熙年间，有区姓人家在附近立「行湾」。康熙县志已记沙角村，归潮居都二十一图；道光县志图及图说里另有「藤湾」之名[1]。
民国年间，沙角归第八区沙梅乡（亦称双沙乡），「筕湾」则归梅阁乡。1951年两地分别划给沙东乡和梅阁乡；到1959年，分称沙角大队和行湾农场[1]。
经济与荣誉[edit]
村里山地约2597亩，鱼塘961亩，耕地455亩，其他用地378亩；党员62人，「两委」干部7名[1]。2019年9月，沙角村进入广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单（2018年度）；2026年3月又被认定为第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇[1]。
