历史沿革[edit]
北宋初年（约960年），余姓先祖从今开平荻海迁来；南宋咸淳十年（1274年），张仲礼一支又迁来，之后多个姓氏相继落户，形成有18个姓氏的大村。[1] 「沙富」是古地名，明万历县志已有沙富甲、沙富村。[1] 清代属泷水都一图，民国时属富路乡；沙富与贵美两村在1951年并为富美乡，1958年先划入沙岗乡，同年10月再分出，设富美管理区；富美村民委员会成立于1999年6月。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
见龙桥（俗称九眼桥）横跨沙富河，连接沙富村和邦龙村的贵美，最初是明代所建的木桥，到清雍正十三年（1735年）才由邑人张钟沛等倡议改成石桥，现被新会区列为文物保护对象。[1] 村中还有成群的百年宗祠，以及多株树龄逾百年的木棉和榕树。[1]
经济[edit]
村民委员会下设19个村民小组，有1492户、4647人左右，山林6500多亩，耕地5500多亩，其中鱼塘1400亩、水果1600多亩、水稻3135亩。[1] 2019年9月，富美村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
