南岸村在双水镇中部，距双水圩5公里，村子在河的南岸，故名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

相传南宋咸淳年间（1265年—1274年），李、叶两姓先祖从南雄迁来立村。[1] 清康熙县志已有南岸村，属泷水都八图。[1] 民国时属第七区双凌乡；解放后先后隶属田心乡、三联乡，1958年入蓢头管理区，次年改设南岸大队。1984年南岸与洋美两个大队并为南岸乡，1999年5月起为南岸村委会。[1]

经济[edit]

全村面积6平方千米，下设10个村民小组，有720户、2096人（男933人，女1163人）。[1] 耕地合计1604亩，鱼塘占133亩，水稻田占1441亩。[1] 村集体经济收入39万元，其中也计入了村民小组一级的收入；2007年人均收入6341元。[1]
