西桥社区位于佛山市南海区九江镇西北部，2020年5月从沙头社区拆分设立，处在九樵路、沙龙路与佛开高速路口的交汇处。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

相传先祖保德翁等人在此开村时还没有名字，后人因居住在沙头堡的西面，村里又有一座独木桥（在今大板桥的位置），便把这里叫作「西桥头」，后来成村，称西桥村，沿用至今。[1]

人口民族[edit]

社区含西桥、楼涌两个自然村，共403户；户籍1815人，常住约6500人；设一个西桥经联社，下分2个经济社。[1]

经济以工业为主，区内企业约100家，以五金、家具为主；集体收入来自土地和物业出租、耕地及鱼塘承包。[1]
