历史沿革[edit]
据传社区所辖的几个自然村聚居在地势较高的河滩上，四周鱼塘河涌密布，日光下村庄像几颗闪亮的星，因取「朗星」为名。[1]
地理环境[edit]
境内河涌纵横、水网密布：往北经沙头涌的人字船闸可通东海，往南顺沙头涌进入顺德的龙江、勒流，再汇入西江。[1]
经济[edit]
农民的收入主要靠卖鲈鱼、黄骨鱼等农特产品。[1]
