沙岗村是佛山市禅城区石湾镇街道西部的行政村，东邻新岗路，南靠东平河，占地0.55平方千米，辖沙岗、东风、潭清、德星4个村民小组。[1]村情介绍称村庄已有九百多年历史，历经宋元明清。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1987年3月，沙岗乡人民政府撤销，成立沙岗村民委员会，隶属澜石镇；1989年8月改设管理区办事处，1999年4月恢复村民委员会。[1]2003年9月，该村划归新设的澜石街道；2006年6月，澜石街道再并入石湾镇街道。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

村情介绍称，沙岗有户籍居民约1750人、外来者约5000人（未注明年份），党总支共109名党员。[2]20世纪80年代中期，村办起陶瓷厂、不锈钢制管厂以及食品、纸箱等集体企业，并在镇中路两侧开发商铺；90年代后期转向以物业租赁为主的第三产业。[2]

沙岗村在阿里研究院公布的2020年、2021年、2022年淘宝村名单中均有名。[1]

文化[edit]

2007年建成的沙岗文化中心有三层，建筑面积约5000平方米，设有「沙岗历史回顾展」、禅城区联合图书馆分馆和一间千余平方米的礼堂。[2]

著名人物[edit]

陈渭岩（清光绪年间—1926），名胜，号惠岩，石湾魁龙里（今沙岗东风村）人，清末民初的陶塑名家，擅长人物、动物和器物，又能仿古代名窑的釉色与造型；陶艺大师潘玉书是他的入室弟子。他曾带潘玉书到景德镇传艺，并创作了融合石湾窑与景德镇窑特色的《贾玉宝》《观音大士》等作品。[2]
