湾华村是佛山市禅城区石湾镇街道东部的行政村，东有佛陈大桥，南临东平河和佛山新港码头，占地约0.8平方千米，有湾梁、西街、桥沃、南街、西华5个自然村。[2]湾华古村一说已开村740多年，村民以何、梁、陈姓为主。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1989年，湾华的村民委员会一度改为管理区办事处，1998年10月才重新称村民委员会。[1]2003年9月，该村划归新设的澜石街道；2006年6月，澜石街道再并入石湾镇街道。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
村情介绍称，村里常住人口2600多人，约870户，外来人员4500多人（该介绍未注明年份），党员132人。[2]这里原是五金与不锈钢制品的集散地，2009年推进了第一个「三旧」改造项目，即华阳路地块开发；村内有湾华、湾梁、桥沃、西华4个公园。[2]2022年10月，湾华村列入淘宝村名单。[1]
文化[edit]
湾华文化活动中心建于1992年，2011年1月成立湾华曲艺社。[2]村内的平兰陈公祠是清末祠堂，保留有民国时期的壁画等装饰。[3]
著名人物[edit]
何淡如（1820—1913年），名又雄，字淡如，南海县深村堡湾头乡（今湾华村）人，同治元年（1862年）中举，曾任高要县教谕，后在广州和香港设馆授徒。他善用粤语方言写谐趣对联，被称为「幽默大师」，作品后辑成《何淡如先生妙联》。[2][4]
