盐鸿镇是广东省汕头市澄海区东北部的一个镇，东南濒南海，背靠莲花山，东北与潮州市饶平县相邻，西南与东里镇交界。全镇面积37.74平方千米，下辖1个社区、8个行政村，镇政府设在鸿一村。[1]镇名取境内盐灶、鸿沟两处旧乡名的首字合成。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

盐鸿镇的地域由盐灶、鸿沟、坛头三个自然村组成。南宋宝祐五年（1253），林致政从福建莆田迁居莲花山南麓的鸿沟里，传为鸿沟林氏之始。其地原属海阳县，明成化年间饶平县从海阳县分出后改属饶平，嘉靖四十二年（1563）澄海县设立，改属澄海。[3]

1949年后，这里先后属澄海县苏北区、第三区、苏北公社；1961年苏北公社拆分，设盐鸿公社；1984年改称盐鸿区；1986年撤销盐鸿区和乡一级建制，设立盐鸿镇人民政府。[3]

地理环境[edit]

镇域位于潮安、澄海、饶平三县（市）交界处，濒临南海，北靠莲花山。博雅地名网转述的旧资料称，山地约2.44万亩，耕地9847亩，另有滩涂6000亩；莲花山主峰海拔562米，是澄海境内最高峰，山上有莲花池、双飞蝴蝶、锯廊、拍铳桥等名胜。[2]324国道横贯镇境。[2][4]

经济[edit]

沿海滩涂出产青蟹、虾米、大蚝等水产，该资料称这里是较具规模的水产品生产基地；2000年前后全镇有工业企业200多家。[2]百度百科记载，2019年末全镇有工业企业130个，其中规模以上企业15个。[1]

镇内的鸿三村在2020年至2022年连续入选淘宝村名单。[5]

文化[edit]

博雅地名网转述旧资料称，盐灶既是基督教进入潮汕的起点，又是潮汕抽纱业的源头。[2]这一说法在其他可查资料中未见佐证，此处仅作转述。
