历史沿革[edit]
后田村创于清雍正七年（1729），祖先从赤竹垭分迁而来；蔡肥村创于清道光十年（1830），由蔡肥率族人到此定居。1950年起归石船乡；1958年公社化，并入后田大队；1983年起隶赤林乡；1986年分设后田、蔡肥两个村委会；1992年划归赤林管理区。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
2005年由后田、蔡肥两村合并而成。据博雅地名网所载，全村共有1202人（247户），山地2451亩，耕地379亩。[1]
村民以林、钟二姓为主，种植青梅、杨梅、茶叶、龙眼、油甘等，收入主要靠外出务工。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
