历史沿革[edit]
明天启年间（1621—1627）潘姓先祖到此立村。1950年起归石船乡；1958年公社化，并入叠石大队；1983年起隶红场乡；1986年起设潘岱村委会；1992年改称潘石管理区；1999年又恢复村委会。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
据博雅地名网所载，全村共有1533人（295户），山地7003亩，耕地78亩。[1]
村民有林、韩、雷等姓，种植青梅、杨梅、茶叶、龙眼、油甘等。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
村南的「英雄石洞」原名潘岱石洞，据博雅地名网所载，是彭湃隐蔽并指挥大南山斗争之处。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2020年8月，列入首批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单（茶叶）；2026年1月获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
