苏明村是广东省汕头市潮南区红场镇的行政村。在红场镇西北部，毗邻仙城镇，距镇政府驻地约23公里，属山地丘陵区的纯农山区村。[1]

村前的土坪上昔日埔姜丛生，称埔姜坪，后为纪念革命苏区改名苏明。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

埔姜坪村创于明万历年间（1573—1620），佳溪村创于清嘉庆二十年（1815），初称崎溪。1950年起归石船乡；1958年公社化，并入埔姜坪大队；1983年起隶苏明乡；1986年分设苏明、佳鸡两个村委会；1992年改称苏明管理区；1999年又恢复两村委会，2005年又合并。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

2005年由苏明、佳鸡（佳溪）两村合并而成。据博雅地名网所载，全村共有1202人（229户），山地4046亩，耕地152亩。[1]

村民以刘姓为主，收入主要靠外出务工，种植青梅、杨梅、龙眼、油甘等。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2023年5月，被评为2022年广东省卫生村。[1]
