虎空村是广东省汕头市潮南区红场镇的行政村。位于红场镇东部，距镇政府驻地约5公里，属山地丘陵区的纯农山区村。[1]

周围山峰重叠，山形像虎，因而得名虎空。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清康熙十年（1671）立村。1950年起归雷岭乡；1958年公社化，并入后田大队；1983年起隶水头乡；1986年起设虎空村委会；1992年划入水头管理区；1999年又恢复村委会。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

据博雅地名网所载，全村共有645人（114户），山地497亩，耕地35亩。[1]

村民以罗姓为主，收入主要靠外出务工，种植青梅、杨梅、龙眼、油甘等。村内有革命遗址「红军被服厂」。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2017年10月被评为第一批广东省卫生村；2022年1月，广东省乡村振兴局将其列为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位。[1]
